Exploration Activities At Aguila Pasacancha

TORONTO, ON - George A. Brown, CEO of Duran Ventures Inc. and of MacMillan Gold Corp. reported on exploration activities at the Aguila Cu-Mo Target and the Pasacancha Ag-Au-Pb-Zn Target in Ancash, Peru. Samples from Hole 9 were assayed and reported 0.439% Cu and 0.029% Mo, for a 0.728% copper equivalent over a 363.2 metre intersection. The average grade over the entire 480.4 metre hole is 0.373% Cu and 0.029% Mo, for a Copper Equivalence of 0.659% .
Samples from Hole 10 are lower grade as expected due to the fact that the majority of the hole was in weakly mineralized hostrock towards the east and away from the Aguila. Samples reported an average grade of 0.147% Cu and 0.011% Mo, for a Copper Equivalent of 0.252% over the 567.1 metre assayed interval. Holes designed to test the grades of the wallrock mineralization are important as some of this material will need to be included within any proposed open pit design.
Aguila Hole 9 was drilled for 485.4 metres towards the west representing 420 metres depth from the collar and 467 metres depth projected to surface from the bottom of the hole. Aguila Hole 10 was drilled for 574.0 metres towards the east from the same drill platform on a section line which is 50 metres to the south of the initial section line which included Holes 1 through 7. Hole 10 is 497 metres depth from collar and 673 metres depth projected to surface from the bottom of the hole. The distance between the bottom of Hole 9 and the bottom of Hole 10 is 506 metres. The width between the west contact in Hole 9 and the east contact in Hole 10 has been estimated from core visuals as being approximately 251 metres.
Pasacancha Hole 1 began drilling on August 11, 2008 and was drilled to a final depth of 620.8 metres as of September13, 2008. Pasacancha Hole 2 is currently underway and is at a depth of 53.0 metres as of the morning of October 2nd, 2008.
The Peruvian Ministry of Energy and Mines has been actively reviewing the C Permit application. We expect to receive confirmation of the permit by late October. To avoid any work interruptions which could be caused by any delay in the Ministries' review of the C permit, we are requesting a 3 month extension to the current B permit, which is currently valid until mid-October, Brown concluded.
