Romarco Encounters 21.3 Meters Of 7.2 g/t Au

TORONTO - Romarco Minerals Inc. reported encouraging results from step-out drilling in the South pit area. The results continue to expand the mineralization to the west and down dip of the currently proposed South Pit at the Haile Gold mine.

These new mineralized intercepts are from six step-out holes collared between 122 and 146 meters (400 and 480 feet) west of the currently proposed South Pit limit, and the intercepts range from 85 to 137 meters (280 to 450 feet) beyond the proposed pit walls. Highlights from the drill results include RC-1779 that intersected 21.3 meters (69.9 feet) of 7.2 g/t (0.209 opt) Au, and RC-1781 that intersected 10.7 meters (35.1 feet) of 4.1 g/t (0.119 opt) Au, and 4.6 meters (15.1 feet) of 6.6 g/t (0.192 opt) Au. Additional step-out drilling has been completed in this area and the assays are pending for these holes. Romarco's U.S. exploration efforts include expanding the Haile resource and evaluating additional targets within the region. Drilling is being performed by Romarco's company owned drill, by Boart Longyear, and by Connors Drilling. The drill samples are prepared and assayed by Alaska Assay/Alfred H. Knight Ltd. Samples are prepared at their facility in Spartanburg, SC, and assaying is completed in Fairbanks, AK. Blank samples as well as third party standards are inserted at random and submitted with all of the drill samples. The results of the control samples are within acceptable ranges.
