Southern Energy Acquiring Gold Projects

SANTIAGO - Southern Energy Company, Inc. on its various projects and properties.

Southern Energy has to date acquired the Catalina Silver, Copper, and Gold project in North Central Chile. The project has had previous small scale production and some exploration. The widely dispersed higher grade mineralization over a large area leads the Company to believe that this project could develop some large exploration targets.

The acquisition of the Lota Bay Coal Concessions has given Southern Energy the opportunity to develop a coal project for a relatively small investment to take the project into production. The expected returns on investment appear significant over a time period of two to four years.

The Condoryacu joint venture project in Northwest Argentina has given Southern Energy the opportunity to become a gold producer very quickly and for a relatively small investment. The Company believes this project, much like the Lota Bay Coal Concessions, should allow the Company to develop significant cash flows and profits over a short time period.
